Associate professor at University of Zadar, Croatia.
Senka Božić-Vrbančić holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has worked in Croatia, New Zealand, Ukraine and Australia. Her work spans the fields of anthropology, cultural studies, visual culture and memory studies with an emphasis on multicultural and multilingual issues, cultural memory, national identity and cultural/language policy. She participated in many projects and published widely on the politics of culture, migration and identity issues.
Full time professor at the University of Ljubljana.
He is a member of more than a dozen international and domestic professional associations (vice-president of the IUAES, president of the Slovenian association Kula), bodies and editorial boards and is active in organisation of international conferences and summer schools (Mess; Easa; Konitsa Summer School in Anthropology, Ethnography and Comparative Folklore of the Balkans; Border Crossings Network).
